Awami League General Secretary and Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has called on the BNP to provide accurate information before making a complaint. He also alleged that the BNP has started the politics of lies and complaints without any evidence against Corona.<\/p>\n
He said, ‘We notice that the BNP has started the politics of old grievances with Corona. They were in hibernation at the beginning, suddenly woke up and discovered that the government has a policy of go it alone.<\/p>\n
Quader made the remarks in a video message from his official residence in the parliament building on Sunday (April 26th) at noon.<\/p>\n
Regarding the allegation of BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Obaidul Quader said, “When Fakhrul went to criticize the government, he once fell silent by lying in the traditional manner without any evidence.” Now he says the government is hiding information. You did not say what information was hidden. You should have provided accurate information before making a complaint. Leader of the people Sheikh Hasina is working with transparency and accountability. And this is the cause of your anger. ‘<\/p>\n
The Minister of Road Transport and Bridges further said that the Corona Crisis is a global disaster, there is no issue of information concealment here. It is ridiculous to hide information in today’s world. The government is gaining more and more capacity with the people to deal with the Corona crisis. It is the cause of your distress. This is not a political crisis, this is not a Corona crisis. Now we need real Corona fighters like doctors, nurses and technicians who are fighting on the frontline. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is waging an all-out corona war with all of them irrespective of party affiliation. The Prime Minister sees the potential in the crisis. Honesty and courage are the source of his strength. From the very beginning, we have sought the cooperation of all, regardless of party affiliation, to deal with the crisis.<\/p>\n
Addressing the BNP secretary general, Obaidul Quader further said, ‘What have you done so far for the people in crisis? What have you done to prevent the growth of corona? The government is working with everyone. The government has already developed coordination from the center to the field level. All government agencies, professional cultural voluntary organizations are working in unison. Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, we will succeed in tackling this crisis, Inshallah. We still call on you to play a positive role in dealing with this disaster. Avoid rumor-mongering and negative politics. ‘<\/p>\n
