education or e-learning methods can play an important role in this.<\/span><\/p>\n Let’s learn about online education or e-learning from the beginning.\u00a0The process of learning from anywhere through the internet on an electronic device is called e-learning.\u00a0More than 80 percent of e-learning lessons are Internet dependent.\u00a0So it is also called distance learning.\u00a0There is no need to teach or take lessons from the classroom in the traditional way.\u00a0There are several good aspects to e-learning.\u00a0First, in this process students can learn from anywhere.\u00a0He educational institutions in 130 countries of the world have been declared closed.\u00a0In our country too, schools, colleges and universities have been declared closed till April 9.\u00a0This holiday may increase.\u00a0As a result, the country’s education system is under threat.\u00a0Meanwhile, this stagnation has been prevailing all over the world for months.\u00a0Students are not able to take education.\u00a0And teachers are not able to provide education.\u00a0Life can no longer be stopped.\u00a0In the same way, educational activities should not stop.<\/span><\/p>\n Since everyone is forced to stay at home, it is possible to continue the education program at home.\u00a0At present, a small scale online education program is also running in Bangladesh.\u00a0According to the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, Bangladeshi universities will be able to continue teaching students online through the use of the ‘Zoom Application’.\u00a0In this case, BDREN (Bangladesh Research and Education Network) will cooperate all the time.\u00a0In this technology, students are able to participate in the class as well as the teacher’s class lectures and also express their own opinions.<\/span><\/p>\n The practice of e-learning in Bangladesh has not started to a significant extent yet.\u00a0At present, due to the situation caused by the outbreak of Corona virus, the concerned scholars are realizing the need for e-learning.<\/span><\/p>\n Different subjects are being taught on different television channels in Bangladesh, most of which are for school children.\u00a0Such activities are not yet seen at the university level.<\/span><\/p>\n Currently almost all universities have their own web site.\u00a0Especially private universities are ahead in the use of modern technology in education.\u00a0So it is not difficult for them to arrange e-learning.\u00a0Many public-private universities are teaching online using the Zoom application, Microsoft, Google Classroom.<\/span><\/p>\n And universities that do not have such facilities can easily start using modern technology.<\/span> When the lockdown situation was prevailing in Wuhan, China to reduce the prevalence of corona virus, classes were being conducted at home with the help of modern technology initiated by various educational institutions in Wuhan.\u00a0Students have been able to continue their teaching activities by connecting with the teacher through video conferencing.\u00a0China announced the closure of all educational institutions during the outbreak of the corona virus.\u00a0China’s Zhejiang University was able to make more than 5,000 courses online in two weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n Zhejiang University brings all its students under this e-learning system.\u00a0Foreign students also get this opportunity, even some courses are open to all students worldwide.\u00a0The university arranges a course hub which attracts five lakh seventy thousand people.\u00a0The university also teamed up with e-commerce company Alibaba to create an app called ‘Ding Talk ZJU’ which attracts around 3 lakh people.\u00a0The problem still remains, because many teachers are not proficient in the use of technology.\u00a0And so ZJU arranged for the training of 360 teachers from mid-February.\u00a0Not only that,\u00a0About one thousand disadvantaged students have been invested in this distance education.\u00a0Arrangements were also made to provide low cost internet services to teachers and students on a contractual basis with various internet service died of the Spanish flu in 1917 due to lack of knowledge of the exact treatment (penicillin was not yet discovered).\u00a0Yes, it is true that our medical system has improved but it is inadequate compared to other improvements in the modern age.\u00a0This is what we are now realizing by failing to deal with the corona virus.\u00a0Well-known researchers from all over the world have not been able to talk about any antidote since last December.\u00a0But now the automated system is working in many cases,\u00a0People are working on things like robotics.\u00a0It is becoming possible to know not only the news of different parts of the world, but also the news of space through satellite.\u00a0After seeing so much improvement, when one person after another is dying of a disease but people have to rely on their own immunity despite having so much advanced technology, it must be said that there is a lack of necessary research in the medical field.\u00a0To increase this research, changes need to be made in the education system.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking of Bangladesh, it has to be said that people in this country start studying for jobs.\u00a0Many people aim for government jobs, which when they get, they think they have got a golden deer.\u00a0Otherwise, it becomes successful only after getting a private job at 9-5 o’clock.\u00a0So very few people are seen in research activities.<\/span><\/p>\n People need to be motivated in research work.\u00a0In this case, there should be adequate employment arrangements.\u00a0If no action is taken in this regard, then the day is not far when it will not be possible to utilize the country’s talent in any developmental work in the future.\u00a0We have to depend on the developed countries all the time.\u00a0It will also be a waste of the country’s money.\u00a0We will struggle to deal with many more complex situations like the current adverse situation.<\/span><\/p>\n Bangladesh has come a long way in the technology sector.\u00a0But only on the day when the teachers and students of this country come up with new discoveries will it be possible to achieve true excellence in terms of technology.\u00a0However, the hope is that now in this unfavorable situation, some talented people in the country are spreading the light of hope to make ventilators and corona virus detection test kits.\u00a0We welcome this
