In a press release, the company said that in the last five years (2015-19) compared to the previous five years (2010-15), the arms exports of the major arms exporting countries, namely death merchants, have increased by 5.5 percent. The top five arms exporters in the last five years are the United States, Russia, France, Germany and China. And obviously Saudi Arabia is the world’s largest arms importer.

According to data released by the institute, the United States and France have significantly increased arms exports during this period. The United States has increased its arms exports by 23 percent over the past five years. As a result, the United States now owns 36 percent of the world’s arms market. In 2015-19, the United States exported 6 percent more weapons than Russia, the world’s second-largest arms exporter. The United States exports arms to 97 countries. At the same time, demand for advanced US military aircraft has increased in Europe, Australia, Japan and Taiwan. Every five years since 1990, France has increased its arms exports compared to the previous five years. France’s arms exports increased by 7.9 percent in 2015-19 compared to 2010-14. Demand for French weapons has risen in Egypt, Qatar and India.

Ad by Valueimpression In
fact, the superpowers have fooled the leaders in various ways and made the whole Middle East a permanent war zone. As a result, it is now a war-torn region. There are long-term humanitarian crises. There are stateless, hungry and diseased people in the Middle East. There is Israeli persecution of Palestinians deprived of civil and human rights. And one of its supporters is the United States. Outside of this, the only thing going on in the Middle East right now is the clang of weapons, the turbulent heated atmosphere prevailing. There is no security for the people. Arms-exporting countries have made the Middle East an almost permanent dumping ground for military hardware. This trend is a bad sign for years to come.

Peter D., a senior researcher at the Peace Research Institute. Weizmann said that in the last five years, half of the arms exports from major arms exporters have gone to the Middle East, and the other half to Saudi Arabia alone.

In the last five years (2015-19), arms imports to Middle Eastern countries have increased by 71 percent compared to the previous five years (2010-14). Middle Eastern countries account for 35% of the world’s total arms imports. These countries have increased their imports by 130 percent in the last five years as compared to the previous five years. Despite widespread concerns in the United States and the United Kingdom over Saudi Arabia’s military intervention in Yemen, Saudi Arabia currently imports 63 percent of its weapons from the United States and 13 percent from the United Kingdom.

In the last five years (2015-19), India was the second largest arms importer in the world. India’s neighbor Pakistan ranks 11th in the world in arms imports. Both countries are strong in nuclear weapons. There have been several wars between the two countries. Then the superpowers provided weapons. Their arms exports to the two countries are only increasing.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has had military involvement in Libya and Yemen for more than five years. The UAE has been the eighth largest arms importer in the last five years. At the time, the United States accounted for two-thirds of the country’s total arms imports. When the UN Security Council condemned foreign military intervention in Libya in 2019, the UAE had arms import agreements with Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
In 2015-19, armed conflict broke out between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Both countries are increasing their military capabilities by importing weapons. They are importing all the missiles that can strike from one country to another inside the country. In the last five years, Armenia has imported almost all its weapons from Russia. On the other hand, 80 percent of Azerbaijan’s weapons are imported from Israel. And 31 percent comes from Russia.

Turkey’s arms imports fell 46 percent in 2015-19 compared to the previous five years. Although its military is fighting Kurdish rebels. The country was also involved in military conflicts with Libya and Syria. The country’s declining arms imports could be explained by delays in getting some major arms supplies, the cancellation of warplane import agreements with the United States and the development of its own armaments industry.

Russia’s arms exports fell 17 percent in 2010-14 and 2015-19, respectively. Russia has lost to India, its longtime major arms importer. As a result, Russia’s arms exports have plummeted, says Alexander Kurimov, a SIPRI researcher. However, in the last five years, Russia’s arms exports to Egypt and Iraq have increased.

Detailed algorithms or sequences are not required to calculate the interrelationships between arms, war and casualties. Because, there is a lot of evidence of this in the workplace. Syria is at the center of the conflict in the Middle East between Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Palestine, Syria and South Sudan. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, the top five ‘Merchants of Death’ are the United States, Russia, France, Germany and China. Interestingly, in the past five years, while US arms exports have grown at a rapid pace of 6 percent, Russia’s arms exports have fallen by 16 percent. The US arms market is expanding. Russia, on the other hand, has lost its main arms importer, India. Tel Aviv is now a more sympathetic arms supplier to Delhi than Moscow.

After Israel signed a ২০০ 200 million arms deal with India in 2016, its arms exports to India reached a record 900 million. The কোটি 200 million deal with India is considered the single largest arms deal by the Israeli aerospace industry. While India is becoming the largest importer of Israeli weapons, Israel has become a secondary party in the protracted Indo-Pakistani conflict. These two nuclear-armed countries came to the brink of full-scale war in March 2019. Naturally, if for some reason a war breaks out between the two countries in the future, India will mainly use sophisticated Israeli weapons against Pakistan.

According to recently released military data, Israel is the second country after South Korea to expand its arms exports at the highest rate. Because, in recent years, Israel’s arms production has increased to an unimaginable level. According to SIPRI, Israeli arms production has increased by 8 percent in recent years. Last year, the Israeli Defense Ministry’s International Defense Co-operation Directorate released a comprehensive plan to expand Israel’s arms market, focusing on the United States, Finland and India. The Directorate oversees Israeli arms production, testing and export.

The question is, why have Israeli weapons become more attractive than other countries? This is because the purchase of Israeli weapons has no political price tag, in other words, no political conditions are met. This means that Israel is ready to sell arms unconditionally to any country, even openly or secretly to non-state actors. Israel has no qualms about who bought these weapons, where they were used, whether they were used for terrorist activities, whether human rights were violated or not. Their only word; ‘Give dollars, take weapons’.

In May 2019, the Israeli branch of the international human rights organization Amnesty International released an in-depth report.

This report reviews Israel’s arms export market. “We will carefully examine the state of human rights in each country before approving export licenses for selling them weapons,” said Rachel Chen, head of the Israeli Defense Export Control Agency. But, this is a shameless lie. Because Israel flies arms to the world’s most notorious human rights violators. The list includes Myanmar, the Philippines, South Sudan and Sri Lanka.

The statement made by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte during his visit to Israel on September 4, 2016 is proof that this statement of Radhachel Chen is a total lie. “From now on, the Philippines will only buy arms from Israel because there are no restrictions,” he told Israeli President Reuven Rivlin. The news was published in the Times of Israel. Duterte added: “The United States is a good friend, but we have to import weapons from the United States, like Germany and China. The United States has provided ারের 3 billion in weapons to Israel on the grounds that they will be used freely only against occupied Palestinians and other Arabs, regardless of international human rights law. This statement of Duterte must be called wonderful.

When a war-torn and impoverished country sends arms to South Sudan, it cannot be said to have the slightest moral value. One of the unique aspects of Israel’s arms exports and the so-called ‘security technology’ of the rest of the world is that they are applied there; Where people are the most oppressed and fragile.

For example, over the years, Israeli companies have sided with the United States in the fight against the undocumented immigrants in every US government. Moreover, in recent years, Israel’s barbaric military tactics have been infiltrated at the level of American society. This includes the militarization of the US police force. Thousands of American police have been trained in Israel.

Similarly, in 2016, Israeli ‘war technology’ was included in the European Union’s security apparatus. One such deal is the 68 million deal with the Israeli company Elbit. Under the agreement, unmanned aircraft system services will be provided to the European Union. It uses the ‘Hermes 900 Maritime Patrol System’.

In this system, the European Border and Coast Guard agency ‘Fortex’ will have the opportunity to prevent wartime refugees and migrants from entering European territory. Interestingly, the EU is buying from Israel the deadly weapons that the Israeli military used against the Palestinians during the so-called protective war in the Gaza Strip in 2014.

SIPRI and Amnesty International have rightly said that most of the weapons exported by Israel are going to human rights violators. But keep in mind that Israel is a vicious human rights violator. And the country must be held accountable for the crimes committed against the Palestinians. This is the responsibility of the world. And in order to do that, there is no alternative for the Muslim countries of the world to unite first.

The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute’s (SIPRI) data released on March 9 on the world’s arms exports paints a worrying picture.
