Six Chinese nationals aboard the ship have been kept under close observation in the sailors’ room inside the ship due to high body temperature. The ship came to Bangladesh from China, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.

Earlier, some of the sailors had high body temperature when they entered Chittagong port. Those with higher body temperatures were kept in quarantine. Mongla Port Health Officer Sufia Khatun said they arrived at Mongla Port after 14 days of quarantine.

According to port sources, the Chinese-flagged coal-laden ship MV Chan-Hang-Jing-Hai anchored at the port of Mongla on Monday via Chittagong. As per the rules, the medical team identified by Corona entered the ship in the afternoon. At that time, the medical team found high temperature in the body of six Chinese sailors. The port health department stopped all activities of the ship.

Mongla Port Health Officer Sufia Khatun said, “We have tested the sailors on board according to the rules.” Of these, six sailors had higher body temperatures. So all the activities of the ship have been asked to be stopped till further instructions. Sailors with high temperatures have been told to stay in isolation inside the ship. Those sailors are all Chinese citizens.
