Setting target for aus production in Pirojpur

The Department of Agricultural Extension has set a target of producing 40,619 metric tons of aus in 18,930 hectares of land in 6 upazilas of Pirojpur this time.

Of these, 7,582 tonnes in 2,520 hectares of land in Sadar upazila of Pirojpur district, 5,652 tonnes in 2,180 hectares of land in Indurkani upazila, 5,751 tonnes in 2,220 hectares of land in Kaukhali and 2,810 hectares in 2,610 hectares in Nesharabad. 4,080, 1,820 on 720 hectares of land in Nazirpur, 6,261 on 2,410 hectares of land in Bhandaria and 4 in Mathbaria upazila.
