Ronaldinho is not a criminal: Maradona
Maradona thinks Ronaldinho did not go to Paraguay to commit any crime.
The player has won everything possible in life. He has taken himself to another height. However, Ronaldinho was always a partner in the debate. Even after picking up the pair of boots which did not leave behind. He was recently jailed in Paraguay with a fake passport. Argentine legend Diego Maradona stood by the Brazilian star in difficult times.
Maradona thinks Ronaldinho did not go to Paraguay to commit any crime. More popularity has come for him, said the hero of Argentina’s 198 World Cup victory in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Diya.
“What happened to Ronaldinho hurt me a lot. He is not a criminal, he just went there for work. ”
“His only crime, he’s a popular one. He is my friend and I will support him until I die. ”
Former Barcelona, PSG and AC Milan midfielder Ronaldinho and his brother Roberto Assis were arrested on March 6 on charges of entering Paraguay with fake passports. After 32 days in jail, they were granted conditional bail earlier this month by depositing ৬ 1.8 million. However, they will remain under house arrest in Paraguay until the judicial process is over.
Brazil’s 2002 World Cup-winning star traveled to Paraguay to take part in a charity and book campaign for underprivileged children.
