Kohli can leave Tendulkar’s 100 centuries?

When Sachin Tendulkar set foot on the cusp of a century, that was considered the ultimate height in the world of cricket. Who knew, one of his country’s great glory would run to that peak! The way Virat Kohli is moving, it is very possible for him to surpass Tendulkar. The two greats of India and Australia, VVS Laxman and Brett Lee, think that Kohli has all the ability to overtake Tendulkar.

Tendulkar is the only cricketer to score a century in international cricket. He scored his 100th century against Bangladesh in the 2012 Asia Cup in Dhaka. He ended his career in just 100 centuries. Ricky Ponting with 71 centuries from far behind.

However, Kohli is moving forward at a great pace. 60 centuries have passed. He is now 31 years old. In his form, fitness and cricket philosophy, Tendulkar’s record can be said to be within reach.

There is no doubt in Laxman’s mind that Kohli will overtake Tendulkar in many pages of the record book.

“As much as Virat prepares himself for every match and series, as much as he works hard on fitness, as much as he is aware of eating habits and overall discipline, I have no doubt that his career will be much longer. If he plays like this, performs like this in three editions, I’m sure he will break many of Sachin’s records. “

According to Lee, three things will be important in Tendulkar’s record of surpassing 100 centuries. Everything is very well in Kohli.

“We’re discussing all the incredible numbers here. (Excluding 100 centuries) He may have to play for another 7-8 years. Is he ready? I think, ‘Yes.’ Three things are important here. First, affordability. There is no question that Kohli has that ability. Second, fitness. Fitness is a big deal after thirty. There is no doubt about Virat Kohli’s fitness. ”

“Another thing is mental capacity. As you grow older, you will be able to cope with difficult times. Staying away from home, leaving wife and family, having children may be a mental struggle. But it is also his ability. All three things are very good in Virat. ”

But speaking of reality, Lee seems to be going around in disbelief again. Anyone can release Tendulkar, it seems unimaginable.

“But how can anyone say that one will surpass Sachin Tendulkar! Sachin is God, can anyone be better than God? We can only wait and see. ”
