He made the remarks while distributing relief in Hatirjheel Madhubag area on Friday (May 1) at the initiative of Future of Bangladesh.

Rizvi said that the MP ministers of the government are cutting raw paddy. The paddy has ripened in the Boro season and they have to be cut. The people of Awami League are cutting raw paddy to show people without cutting ripe paddy. They want to show people they are with the farmer. This is not human service. The government is joking about the hunger of the poor people without dealing with the situation like this famine. You can’t prevent such a big disaster by joking.

He said the BNP is not in the government. We are helping the poor and helpless people as much as we can. We have stood by the side of the poor, helpless and miserable people, not for the sake of our own image or reputation.

The senior joint secretary general of the BNP said the future of Bangladesh works impartially. He is cooperating with the poor people without any political consideration. But the government has formed relief committees in every ward with the help of Awami League people. They are getting relief from those who are being recommended by the local administration, TNO.

That means they are grouping here too. They are giving relief as their own people and the people of other groups. Billions of people have not eaten, are crying.

Rizvi said Information Minister Hasan Mahmud had said that Rizvi Ahmed needed to be restrained. Now I say pull the reins in my face or not. The Washington Post, the world’s leading media outlet, also says that Bangladesh’s relief rice is being stolen. Oil is found in earthen pits in the house, rice in straw bales and oil in the beds.

These are not just what we are saying, today the international media is also saying. How do you put a bridle in their mouth. Hassan Mahmood, you can’t control them. Because they are telling the truth.
