Distribution of aus paddy seeds among farmers in Chandpur
Free paddy seeds and fertilizers have been distributed among 4,500 small and marginal farmers in Chandpur district to maintain the continuity of food production despite the situation arising out of coronavirus in the country.
As a result of distribution of these agricultural inputs among the farmers as an incentive during the Aus season, it will be possible to cultivate Aus in about 10,006 hectares of land in the district under intensive crop production.
Maintaining social distance, each farmer is given 5 kg of Aus paddy seeds, 20 kg of Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizer and 20 kg of Murate of Potash (MOP) fertilizer in two phases.
