Russia, Spain Condemn US Strikes on Iran’s Nuclear Sites Amid Global Backlash.
Russia and Spain have condemned the recent US strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, adding to international concern over rising tensions.
News Desk: Russia and Spain have condemned recent US military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, warning of the dangers such actions pose to international stability and law.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry released a strongly worded statement denouncing the attacks as a clear violation of international norms.
“The decision to launch missile and bomb strikes on the territory of a sovereign state, regardless of the justification offered, is a blatant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council resolutions,” the statement read. Moscow called for an immediate end to the aggression and urged all parties to return to diplomatic dialogue.
In response to the developments, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to visit Moscow on Monday for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties and discuss a path forward.
Spain also voiced concern. Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares Bueno emphasized the need for diplomacy over military action.
“Escalation is not the path to peace in the Middle East,” Albares told Spanish broadcaster RTVE. “What’s needed is a return to negotiations, not further military confrontation.”
The international community now watches closely as tensions continue to rise in the already volatile region.
