Preparations for the release of SSC and equivalent examination results are in May
The concerned boards of education are preparing to release the results of SSC and equivalent examinations by the end of May amid the corona outbreak.
To this end, all the examiners of the country have been asked to send the answer sheets of the examination to the board office in an alternative way. Due to the changed situation this year, the Board of Education’s website and students’ mobile phones are expected to receive the results. The decision was taken at a video conference between the chairmen of the education boards on Tuesday, sources said.
According to meeting sources, all the education boards of the country have been instructed to expedite the work of preparing SSC and equivalent results in the virtual meeting. The Ministry of Education has directed to publish the results by May. Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department Md. Mahbub Hossain was involved in the special emergency meeting through video conference. The meeting was chaired by Dhaka Education Board Chairman Prof Muhammad Ziaul Haque.
In this situation of disaster in the country, in the case of the largest range of public examinations such as SSC and equivalent examinations, the results of this examination are being considered to be published through the website and SMS of the Board of Education. For this, instructions have been given to collect mobile numbers of students from educational institutions.
Meanwhile, it has been asked to make all kinds of preparations by targeting the end of May, especially between 20th and 25th. Dhaka Board Chairman Prof Muhammad Ziaul Haque said the education boards have been instructed to complete the preparation work for quick results with the aim of publishing SSC and equivalent results. “We are not able to collect answer sheets or number sheets from the examiners as public transport is closed,” he told this correspondent of Naya Diganta. However, if the situation is normal, we are preparing to publish the results within 15 days. He also said that 80 per cent of the work of the board involved in publishing the results has been put forward. He said, Although the results of the test were released in March, we have proposed to reduce the time for admission in class XI to one month instead of one and a half months. In the Corona situation, it has been proposed to compensate for some of the losses caused by the month-long closure of educational institutions.
Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education Md. Mahbub Hossain said that a formal meeting has been held with the chairmen of all the education boards. They (Board Chairmen) have been asked for their views on the process of making SSC results. They said most of the fruit-making work has been completed. If the situation is normal, SSC and equivalent results will be released in the next two weeks.
