Three robbers were arrested in the incident of robbery of a motorcycle by hacking the driver in Gangni

The police have arrested three people in connection with the robbery on Saharbati Road in Gangni, Meherpur. At the same time, the stolen motorcycle and robbery equipment were recovered. They were arrested by the Gangni police station in various places in the last 24 hours.
The arrested are Rabiul Islam (38) son of Rabban Mandal of Jamalpur Madhyapara of Daulatpur Upazila of Kushtia, Nazir (53) son of Fakir Mandal of Sahebnagar village of Gangni Upazila and Dulal Ali (35) son of Rafiqul Islam of Saharbati village. There are several cases in the name of the arrested in different police stations.
Meherpur Superintendent of Police Rafiul Alam briefed the reporters about the arrest of the dacoit in his office on Wednesday (April 12) at noon.
Regarding the operation, he said that on April 8, around 10:15 pm, a group of robbers stopped the pedestrians on the field path of Garadob-Saharbati road in Gangni upazila. At that time, a businessman named Saddam Hossain of Gangni was beaten and robbed of cash and a motorcycle used by him and fled. In this regard, the best use of information technology and the police know about the location of the robbers through sources. In the wake of this, in the last 24 hours, raids were conducted at various places and the three were arrested. A stolen motorcycle was recovered from them. At the same time, the police were able to recover the domestic weapon (Hasua) and baton that had hacked the businessman Saddam Hossain. Those who are involved in this robbery will be identified and arrested soon.
Stating that the arrested have given a statement admitting their involvement in the robbery, the Superintendent of Police added that they have informed the police that they will confess in court. The Superintendent of Police also said that the process of handing over to the Meherpur court in the case filed in Gangni police station in their name is going on.
