That insect of Teknaf is not a locust: Ministry of Agriculture
The insects that live and damage the trees in the village of Lombari in Teknaf, Cox's Bazar, are not the locusts. It is not a harmful insect.
There is nothing to panic about. Moreover, the insects are being controlled by applying necessary pesticides.
Cox’s Bazar Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension. Abul Kashem has confirmed the matter.

A few days ago, some small insects like grasshoppers attacked some trees in Lombari village of Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar. Later, Cox’s Bazar Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension and officials of the local agriculture department visited the spot.
