IGCC is organizing an online workshop on music and dance

Dhaka: The Indian High Commission's Indira Gandhi Cultural Center (IGCC) is launching an online workshop 'Guru Pratha'.

The workshop was announced on Monday (April 20) by the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

It was informed that in this 45-minute workshop, the trainees will get the opportunity to train in different categories in the three sections of ‘Beginner’, ‘Intermediate’ and ‘Advanced’. Of these, ‘Beginners’ for newcomers, those who have already learned or have 2 to 5 years of experience will be eligible for ‘Intermediate’ and ‘Advanced’ for teachers and trainers.

A workshop on music and dance; Will be held in two sections. Nazrul Geeti and Rabindra Sangeet will predominate in music. The dance also includes Rabindra dance, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri classic and Orissa dance.

Well-known artists will give training in the workshop. Each of these trainers has received an Indian (ICCR) scholarship to pursue higher education in their respective fields from India. They are Saadi Mohammad in Rabindra Sangeet, Tamanna Rahman in Manipuri Classic Dance, Sharmila Banerjee in Rabindra Dance, Sujit Mustafa in Nazrul Geeti, Benazir Salam in Orissa Dance and Anisul Islam Hiru in Bharatanatyam.
