Meherpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting) Muidur Rahman presided over the event. Moniruzzaman, Sadar Upazila BNP President Maruf Ahmed Bijan, Sadar Upazila Jamaat Secretary Jabbarul Islam,Amir Sohail Rana of Sadar Upazila Jamaat, Khandaker Muiz Uddin who was injured in anti-discrimination student movement, journalist Dilruba Khatun, district convener of anti-discrimination student movement Imtiaz Ahmed and others spoke.
Officials of various government and private departments, political leaders of various parties, families of those injured in the anti-discrimination movement, journalists, students and other people of various classes and professions were present in the memorial meeting.
