Mujibnagar University State Minister Farhad Hossain is going to start work soon

A new university called Mujibnagar University is starting in Meherpur. The activities of this university are starting soon. State Minister for Public Administration and Member of Parliament of Meherpur-1 Constituency Farhad Hossain said that its activities will begin by appointing the Vice-Chancellor by June. Local residents say that many people in Meherpur do not have the opportunity to study in good universities due to various reasons including lack of financial capacity. Many girls’ dreams are shattered due to lack of university in the district. However, now that the university has been established in the district, the opportunities for higher education of the local youth will increase. The doors of higher education will be opened for students from poor families.

State Minister for Public Administration and Meherpur-1 Constituency Member of Parliament Farhad Hossain said that the Vice-Chancellor will be appointed in Mujibnagar University next June. For now, it is being considered to start university activities on rented infrastructure or in Meherpur Government College. He said that education programs will be started by acquiring land and building infrastructure in stages.

It is known that the demand for a full-fledged university in Meherpur has been going on for a long time. Jera students, who are backward in terms of education, have dreams of studying in the university but remain elusive due to financial constraints. If the university opens, the doors of higher education will be opened for the children of poor families. It will take a step forward in the field of women’s education.

Abdullah Al Amin Dhumketu, associate professor of political science department of Meherpur Government College, said that there will be radical changes in public life if the university is established. Awakening will be created in the field of employment and culture. Values will change. Many students in the district cannot go outside to study due to lack of funds. Opportunities will be created here for these students.
