Unable to bear the suicide of the son, the mother committed suicide in Meherpur

Unable to bear the suicide of her son in Bhabarpara village of Meherpur’s Mujibnagar upazila, a mother named Beauty Khatun Bachiron committed suicide herself. Bachiran, the mother of 3 children, is the wife of Ramazan Ali, a fish merchant of Bhabarpara village. His son’s name is Russell Ahmed. The police recovered the body of former UP member Yunus Ali Boga hanging from a branch of a mango tree near his house at around 6 am on Thursday. Locals said, Bashiran’s younger son Russell (18) poisoned the herbicide at his house 10 days ago out of pride for his housework. Neighbors noticed him and first took him to Mujibnagar Upazila Health Complex. Seeing the deterioration of his physical condition, the doctor on duty referred him to Meherpur and later to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. On his way home from Rajshahi Medical College Hospital on Wednesday, he died after reaching Meherpur city in the evening. At around 10 o’clock on this day, Russell’s funeral was completed in Bhabarpara village and the burial was completed in the local cemetery. Soon after the burial, his mother Bachiron disappeared from the house. Family members searched for him at night but failed. The next day (today Thursday) around 6 am passers-by saw the body of former UP member Yunus Ali Boga hanging from a branch of a mango tree with a sari wrapped around his neck. At that time, the local people informed the Mujibnagar Police Station. Mehedi Russell, OC of Mujibnagar police station, visited the spot after receiving the information. Mujibnagar Police Station OC Mehedi Russell said the body has been recovered. Unable to bear the grief of her son’s death, it seems initially that Bachiran committed suicide by wrapping a sari around her neck. Meanwhile, the tears of the husband and 2 daughters are not stopping due to the death of Bachiran and his son. Many have to wipe tears from their own eyes while comforting them.
