A student of veterinary faculty was beaten up by BCL president Riyad and his men due to past enmity. He said that they were bribed if they tried to obstruct so much.
A former leader of the Bangladesh Agricultural University (Bakribi) branch of Mymensingh Chhatra League came under fire from students. Three teachers were accused of being bribed while stopping. The teachers of the Democratic Teachers Forum complained about this in a press conference on Tuesday (January 11) at around 8:30 pm in the conference room of the veterinary faculty of the university. However, the concerned claim that the matter is an expression of the internal conflict of the students.
The teachers claiming to be bribed are – General Secretary of Democratic Teachers Forum (Part) Prof. Dr. Purba Islam, Assistant Proctor Prof. Afrina Mostrin, Popi Khatun.
It was said in the press conference that on Tuesday afternoon during the examination of Level 4 Semester 2 of Veterinary Faculty, a student named Aftab Durbar was beaten up by BCL President Riyad and his men due to previous enmity. He said that they were bribed if they tried to obstruct so much.
Professor Dr. Moniruzzaman expressed his anger at the press conference and said, I think this incident happened with the direct support of the university administration. Because after this incident, the authorities have not expressed any kind of sympathy or taken any action till now.
Democratic Teachers Forum president MAM Yahya Khandkar and assistant proctor Afrina Mustari along with teachers of Democratic Teachers Forum were present in the press conference.
